My name is Eric Zimmer. I am 35 years old - no kids. (I have plenty of nieces and nephews.) Most of my work experience has been in construction and manufacturing, with some ethanol experience. I started attending Central Community College (CCC) to start a new career.

I’ve always held a strong interest in computers. This, naturally, started with video games when I was younger. My brother shared the same interest. He has over 15 years of experience in the IT industry. My peers always considered me the computer person in school. I’ve always spent a lot of time in front a computer.

I’m in my second year at CCC and I’ve been enjoying the things I’ve been learning. I often do extra exercises on my own, just for fun and for the learning experience. I am glad to have found something that I am passionate about. Learning is a never-ending process, and as someone just starting out in this industry, I have much to learn!

My hobbies include hiking, going for walks, and bicycle rides. I enjoy going to classical music concerts. I have a great appreciation for nature, which is a big reason I find hiking so enjoyable. Rocky Mountain National Park has been my favorite hiking location. I also enjoy video games (when I can find the time) and watching movies and shows.
